Abstract ETHYLENE-PROPYLENE-NONCONJUGATED DIENE TERPOLYMERS ARE ELASTOMERIC MATERIALS WITH OUTSTANDING RESISTANCE TO OZONE. THIS IS A PLUS PROPERTY FAVORING THEIR USE IN PNEUMATIC TIRES, BUT BALANCING PROPERTIES OF LOW BUILDING TACK AND GREEN STRENGTH WEIGH AGAINST SUCH USE. BLENDS OF EPDM AND NATURAL RUBBER (NR) HAVE A DEGREE OF TACK AND GREEN STRENGTH AND THESE PROPERTIES ARE FURTHER ENHANCED BY THE ADDITION OF AN AMINOALKYL TRIALKOXY SILANE.
