Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim
122 words
An apparatus for raising and lowering a scaffolding platform comprising at least one winch secured to said platform and driven by a motor so as to raise or lower the platform, locking means that can grip a cable extending along the travel path to stop the descent and hold said platform, control means which controls the unlocking of said locking means, control means which controls said motor in the direction for lowering said platform, coupling means to couple said unlocking control means and said motor control means in such a manner that the latter is necessarily actioned, to engage a lowering movement, after unlocking of said locking means and to stop the said lowering movement before the locking of said locking means.
Claim 2
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
49 words
An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said locking means comprise a brake device with jaws capable of gripping the said cable and so arranged as to induce an autoclamping of the said brake in the direction of lowering of the platform and automatic release in the upward direction.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
33 words
An apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said unlocking control means engage and operate at the limit of its control movement said motor control means in the direction of descent of the platform.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
50 words
An apparatus according to claim 3, in which the said brake with jaws has two rods articulated at one end on the frame of the said winch and the other end of which coacts with the said jaws to induce their closing or opening when pivoted by an operating lever.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
49 words
An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the winch is driven by an electric motor with pushbuttons controlling the raising and lowering of the load, the operation of the said pushbutton for lowering being effected by a continued movement of the said unlocking control means of said locking means.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
49 words
An apparatus according to claim 5, which comprises a plurality of supporting winches and a common control device which remotely controls all said unlocking control means of the various winches, which on reaching their limit of travel operate the control means of the said motors of the associated winches.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
152 words
An installation for raising and lowering a scaffolding platform including at least one cable supporting the platform, a winch secured to said platform and having a grooved pulley in which is housed the said support cable and the rotation of which causes the raising or lowering of the platform up or down the said support cable, an electric motor driving the said winch in the raising or lowering directions, a safety device which automatically cancels a downward movement of platform, and which may be unlocked, a component operating the unlocking of the said safety device, a control component for the said electric motor to cause its operation in the downward direction and a device coupling the said operating components causing the unlocking of the safety device before the operation of the lowering control of the said motor and a control for stopping the descent before the locking of the said safety device.
