Abstract

Abstract A multiplex converter system for continuously, selectively updating information in a plurality of analog output channels by means of a single input channel by converting an input signal from the input channel to a first analog signal and storing it in a particular one of the channels to provide a second analog signal output from that channel which is a replica of the first analog signal, while the other channels are similarly updated by other input signals supplied by the input channel.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim 157 words
A multiplex converter system for continuously, selectively updating information in a plurality of analog output channels by means of a single input channel, comprising: a reference signal source; an input channel including converter means for receiving a series of input signals in a first form and successively combining them with a reference signal from said reference signal source to provide a series of first analog signals; a plurality of analog output channels, each including: sampling means for sampling one of said first analog signals; storage means for storing a sample of one of said first analog signals; and modulator means for receiving one of said signal samples from said storage means and a reference signal from said reference signal source, said modulator means combining said sample and said reference signal to produce a second analog signal which is a replica of said first analog signal; and control means for sequentially actuating the sampling means in said channels.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 157 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 25 words
The system of claim 1 further including a feedback loop connected between the output of said modulator means and the input of said sampling means.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 19 words
The system of claim 2 further including an input amplifier connected between said converter means and said sampling means.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 18 words
The system of claim 2 further including a driver amplifier responsive to the output of said modulator means.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 14 words
The system of claim 1 in which said samplIng means includes first switching means.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 19 words
The system of claim 2 further including second switching means in said feedback loop actuatable with said sampling means.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 16 words
The system of claim 1 in which said reference signal source provides an alternating current signal.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 14 words
The system of claim 1 in which said converter means includes a digital-to-analog converter.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 36 words
The system of claim 1 in which said input signals each contain an address portion and said control means is responsive to said address portion to actuate the said sampling means of the particular addressed channel.
