Abstract MAGNETORESISTANCE ELEMENTS ARE OFTEN USED IN PAIRS AND IT IS DESIRABLE TO HAVE MATCHED ELEMENTS WITH SIMILAR CHARACTERISTICS FOR OPERATING IN BALANCED CIRCUITS. THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE DISCLOSES METHODS OF CONSTRUCTING MAGNETORESISTANCE ELEMENTS SO THAT THEY ARE MATCHED AND HAVE SIMILAR CHARACTERISTICS BY UTILIZING THIN FILM TECHNIQUES THAT ALLOW ELEMENTS TO BE MADE ON THE SAME SUBSTRATE AND HEAT TREATED SO AS TO ASSURE UNIFORMITY OF ELEMENTS.
