Abstract AGENTS FOR THE DYEING OF HAIR, AND PARTICULARLY OF LIVING HUMAN HAIR, BASED ON AZO DYES. THE DYES CONSIST OF A DIAZO- AND A COUPLING COMPONENT, WHICH ARE CAUSED TO REACT WITH EACH OTHER WHILE ON THE HAIR. THE DIAZO COMPONENT CONSISTS OF STABLE DIAZONIUM SALTS. BOTH COMPONENTS ARE APPLIED IN THE FORM OF AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS. APPLICATION TO THE HAIR CAN BE CARRIED OUT WITHIN 5 TO 30 MINUTES AND AT TEMPERATURES OF SUBSTANTIALLY 15 TO 35* C., I.E., SUBSTANTIALLY AT ROOM TEMPERATURE.
