Abstract A METHOD OF PREPARING CUTTING TOOL MATERIALS COMPRISING MIXING ALUMINA AND TITANIUM CARBIDE PARTICLES HAVING AN AVERAGE GRAIN SIZE OF LESS THAN 3 MICRONS PLACING SAID MIXTURE IN A GRAPHITE MOLD AND HOT PRESSING AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 1500-1800*C. AND A PRESSURE BETWEEN 150-400 KG./CM, FOR A PERIOD OF TIME UP TO 40 MINUTES.
