Abstract
Abstract A dispensing valve carried by a connector adapted to clamp upon the bezel of the container so as to center the valve thereon and to pierce and seal the closed top of the container. The valve comprises a valve head, a penetrating dispensing tube and a seal. When the valve is clamped on to the bezel of the container the valve head is threaded through the clamping connector causing the seal to contact the top of the container at the point of penetration thereof by the dispensing tube. The valve and the connector can be removed and reused when the contents of the pressurized container have been dispensed.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
170 words
A valve for controlling the automatic dispensing of the pressurized contents from a container comprising: a. a passaged valve body providing an inlet and outlet port; b. means for removably connecting said valve body to the bezel of the container comprising a pair of disclike members pivotable relative to each other with said members each providing a lip movable beneath the bezel of the container for vertically mounting said valve body in the center of the top wall thereof, c. means provided by said valve body threadably attaching said valve body to said connecting means; d. means carried by said valve body and movable therewith into piercing contact with that portion of the top wall of the container surrounded by its bezel; e. means carried by said penetrating means for sealing the pierced top wall of the container against the escape of its pressurized contents except through said valve body; and f. a hose connection for said valve body through which the pressurized contents of the container is automatically valved.

Claim 3
Dependent Claim
39 words
A valve as defined in claim 1 wherein said means provided by said valve body threadably attaching the same to said connecting means comprises a threaded stud shaft threadable through an internally threaded rim provided by said connecting means.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
48 words
A valve as defined in claim 1 wherein said means for threadably attaching said valve body to said disclike members comprise a threaded stud shaft threadable through an internally threaded rim provided by one of said disclike members with the other of said disclike members freely rotatable thereabout.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
53 words
A valve as defined in claim 1 wherein said means carried by said valve body for piercing the top wall of the container comprises a metallic tube positioned in the inlet port of said valve body and providing an exposed pointed tip centered with respect to the long axis of said valve body.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
74 words
A valve as defined by claim 4, wherein said means for sealing the pierced top wall of the container comprises a compression seal surrounding said tube adjacent the exposed pointed tip thereof and adapted to be moved therewith into a surrounding and sealing position with respect to the pierced opening formed in the wall of the container by said tube when said valve body is threadably moved in one direction through said connecting means.
