Abstract
Abstract The slide changer and the indexing mechanism for the tray of a slide projector are operated intermittently by a power train which is connected to the output shaft of an electric motor. An electromagnet is energized in response to opening of the motor circuit to bring about rapid stoppage of the slide changer and indexing mechanism in a predetermined position. Energization of the electromagnet results in frictional engagement of an element of the power train with a movable or stationary part of the electromagnet. A spring is provided to disengage the element of the power train from the stationary or movable part in response to deenergization of the electromagnet.
