Abstract A FLUID AMMONIUM PHOSPHATE COMPOSITION AND METHOD UTILIZING WET PROCESS PHOSPHORIC ACID OR SPENT PHOPHORIC ACID WHICH CONTAIN METALLIC IMPURITIES. LIGNIN SULFONATE IS ADDED TO THE ACID PRIOR TO AMMONIATION IN SUFFICIENT QUANTITIES TO PREVENT FORMATION OF GELATINOUS PRECIPITATE DURING AMMONIATION.
