Abstract A CROSS FLOW FILTRATION METHOD OF SEPARATING A LIQUID FROM EXTRANEOUS MATERIAL COMPRISING ESTABLISHING A FILTERING MEDIUM COMPRISING A BED OF FINE PARTICLES DISPERSED ON A POROUS SUBSTRATE AND FORCING A LIQUID ACROSS SAID FILTERING MEDIUM UNDER CONDITIONS WHEREBY A PORTION OF SAID LIQUID PASSES THROUGH SAID FILTERING MEDIUM.
