Abstract THE CONVENTIONAL TREATMENT OF CELLULOSIC FABRICS WITH CYCLIC UREA CELLULOSE REACTIVE CREASE-PROOFING AGENTS TO PRODUCE DURABLE PRESS OR WASH-AND-WEAR PROPERTIES IS IMPROVED BY THE ADDITION OF A MINOR AMOUNT OF SODIUM FORMATE OR SODIUM TETRABORATE. THIS SALT ADDITION TO THE CREASE-PROOFING COMPOSITION REDUCES ADVERSE YELLOWING OR COLOR CHANGES CAUSED BY THE CONVENTIONAL TREATMENTS.
