Abstract A HIGH TEMPERATURE RESISTANT STRUCTURAL MATERIAL COMPRISING FIRST AND SECOND RIBBONS OF SOLID VITREOUS MATERIAL HAVING A THICKNESS BETWEEN APPROXIMATELY 0.001 AND 0.005 INCH, AND A LAYER OF FIBERS INTERMEDIATE SAID RIBBONS, THE RIBBONS HAVING PORTIONS WHICH SURROUND AND WET THE FIBERS AND WHICH ARE FUSED TOGETHER TO UNITE THE RIBBONS.
