Abstract A PROCESS FOR PREPARING AN ALIPHATIC AMINE WHICH COMPRISES THE STEPS OF REACTING AN OLEFINE HAVING AT LEAST 4 CARBON ATOMS WHICH HYDROCYANIC ACID IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ACID CATALYST CONSISTING OF SULFURIC ACID, WATER, AND BORON TRIFLUORIDE, AND THEREAFTER HYDROLYZING THE RESULTING REACTION PRODUCT WITH AN ACID OR ALKALI.
