Abstract
Abstract GOOD OHMIC CONTACTS ARE MADE TO RARE EARTH CHALCOGENIDE CRYSTALS. A LOW MELTING POINT ALLOY IS PREPARED FROM RARE EARTH ELEMENTS AND AT LEAST ONE CONDUCTIVE METAL. THE ALLOY IS MELTED ON THE SURFACE OF THE CRYSTAL AND CONDUCTIVE LEADS ATTACHED THERETO BY SOLDERING WITH AN INDIUM SOLDER.
