Abstract
Abstract A solid state controllable current conducting semiconductor of a variable light intensity control circuit is mounted on a heat sink member which is positioned adjacent one end of an electrically and thermally insulating support member. The opposite end of the support member is secured to the insulating disc at the base of the lamp receiving shell of the lamp socket. The heat sink member is shaped to provide structural support and to increase the surface area thereof.
