Abstract

Abstract In a television receiver, a plastic chassis comprises a substantially rigid base portion which serves as the sole means of support for a television receiver and includes a plurality of integrally molded mounting means for electronic components of the television receiver. The integrally molded mounting means include boss members, flexible pocket members, and flexible cup members. The cathode ray tube of the television receiver is also mounted on the plastic chassis on a front wall portion to provide an exposed though totally operative subassembly prior to the final steps in the assembly process. The plastic chassis is further adapted to receive closure panels of a rear closure member in integrally molded track members of the base portion to substantially complete the assembly.
