Abstract

Abstract GREEN SAND CORES ARE FORMED IN LOWER PARTS OF CORE BOXES AND ARE THEREUPON PIVOTED THROUGH 90 DEGREES ABOUT HORIZONTAL AXES TO SETTING POSITIONS. THE UPPER HALVES OF THE LOWER CORE BOX PARTS ARE THEREUPON REMOVED AND THE DRAG OF A MOLDING FLASK IS PLACED OVER THE CORES. THE CORES ARE INVERTED WITH THE DRAG SO THAT THEIR PRINTS REST IN THE DRAG AND A COPE IS PLACED ON TOP OF THE DRAG.
