Arrangement in accordance with claim 1, where the machine cabinet has a table top having an opening, said axle is disposed below said table top, and said operating element comprises a hinge support mounted on said table top, a hinged plate pivotally connected at one end to said hinge support, a rod extending through said opening and connected at one end to the other end of said hinged plate and said coupling means on said lever comprises another arm connected to the other end of said rod.
