Abstract AN ARRANGEMENT FOR MEASURING IN A CONTINUOUS MANNER THE TEMPERATURE OF A LIQUID METAL BATH, ACCORDING TO WHICH A ROD OF LIGHT PERMEABLE HIGH TEMPERATURE AND CORROSIONRESISTANT MATERIAL EXTENDS THROUGH THE WALL OF THE VESSEL AND IN THE INTERIOR OF THE VESSEL IS EMBEDDED IN A MASS OF ALKALI-FREE OXIDES WITH A HIGH MELTING POINT SUCH AS ZIRCONIUM OXIDE OR ZIRCONIUM SILICATE WHILE AT THE END OF SAID ROD THERE IS ARRANGED A COLOR PYROMETER.
