Abstract A JEWELRY CLASP WHEREIN AN ELONGATED RECEPTACLE HOUSES A SPRING BIASED BALL. AN OPENING IS PROVIDED IN THE RECEPTACLE TOP, AND FORMS A LIP TO HOLD THE BALL IN POSITION. A SLOT IS DISPOSED IN THE END WALL OF THE RECEPTACLE AND RECEIVES THE SHANK OF A BALL WHICH ENTERS THE RECEPTACLE OPENING AND IS HELD WITHIN THE RECEPTACLE BY THE BIASED RECEPTACLE BALL.
