Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 7
Claim 1
Independent Claim 55 words
In an electron discharge device having a cathode and at least one grid; an anode surrounding said cathode and said grid; and a fin formed to project inwardly of said anode to a point closer to said cathode than any part of said anode, the improvement comprising: heat distortion preventive means incorporated in said fin.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 55 words
In an electron discharge device having a cathode and at least one grid; an anode surrounding said cathode and said grid; and a fin formed to project inwardly of said anode to a point closer to said cathode than any part of said anode, the improvement comprising: heat distortion preventive means incorporated in said fin.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 27 words
The device of claim 1 wherein said heat distortion preventive means comprises a plurality of expansion openings formed in the edge of said fin facing said cathode.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 15 words
The device of claim 2 wherein said openings are configured as substantially V-shaped cutout areas.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 13 words
The device of claim 2 wherein said expansion openings are substantially rectangular slots.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 23 words
The device of claim 4 wherein said slots are three in number and are substantially equidistantly spaced along said edge of said fin.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 17 words
The device of claim 2 wherein said expansion openings extend less than the width of said fin.
