Abstract AQUEOUS SUSPENSIONS OF TITANIUM DIOXIDE ARE OBTAINED USING AS DISPERSING AGENT A MIXTURE OF AN ALKALI METAL SALT, ESPECIALLY A PHOSPHATE OR POLYPHOSPHATE, AND AN AMINE, ESPECIALLY AN ETHANOLAMINE. THE RESPECTIVE AMOUNTS OF THE TWO COMPONENTS MAY BE 0.5-3%, AND 0.05-2%, ON THE WEIGHT OF THE TITANIUM DIOXIDE. THE DISPERSION CAN BE HYDROCLASSIFIED WITHOUT USE OF A FLOCCULATING AGENT.
