Abstract A RAPID MTHOD FOR THE ANALYSIS OF WASTE WATER FOR BIOCHEMICAL OXYGEN DEMAND. THE METHOD USES A PYROLYSIS CHAMBER FUNCTIONALLY CONNECTED TO A HYDROGEN FLAME IONIZATION DETECTOR SO THAT FIRST A VALUE INDICATIVE OF TOTOL ORGANIC CONTENT OF A SAMPLE IS DETERMINED AND THEN THAT VALUE IS CONVERTED BY SUITABLE FACTORS TO A VALUE INDICATIVE OF BIOCHEMICAL OXYGEN DEMAND.
