Abstract A DEVICE FOR ANALYSIS OF GAS MICTURES COMPRISES A CHROMATOGRAPHIC COLUMN CONNECTED TO AN EFFUSION CELL FOR DETERMINING THE MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF TH EMIXTURE COMPONENTS, THE EFFUSION CELL IN TURN BEING CONNECTED TO A MASS SPECTROMETER WITH RECORDING INSTRUMENTS, A VALVE BEING PROVIDED BETWEEN THE COLUMN AND THE CELL FOR PERIODICALLY CLOSING COMMUNICATION THEREBETWEEN DURING ANALYSIS. THE OUTPUT OF THE MASS SPECTROMETER DURING THE PERIODS OF VALVE CLOSURE IS INTEGRATED TO PROVIDE DATA FOR THE MOLECULAR WEIGHT DETERMINATION.
