Abstract A FLOORING STRUCTURE HAS A PLURALITY OF SPACED PARALLEL METAL CHANNELS IN EACH OF WHICH IS SECURED A NAILING STRIP. FLOORBOARDS ARE SUPPORTED ON THE STRIP-CHANNEL ASSEMBLIES AND SECURED THERETO BY NAILS WHICH PASS THROUGH THE FLOORBOARDS AND NAILING STRIPS AND ARE CLINCHED TO THE BOTTOMS OF THE NAILING STRIPS. THE STRIP-CHANNEL ASSEMBLIES ARE SECURED TO A FOUNDATION.
