Abstract AN INDEX TAB IS MADE OF TRANSPARENT PLASTIC AND CAN BE POSITIONED ACCURATELY AT THE EDGE OF A SHEET BEFORE ADHESIVE OF THE TAB IS EXPOSED TO THE SHEET. CONVENTIONAL USE OF MOISTURIZING ADHESIVES IS ELIMINATED BY SUBSTITUTING A PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE AND COOPERATING ADHERENT PROTECTIVE STRIPS. THE STRIPS ARE REMOVED AFTER THE TAB HAS BEEN LOCATED IN POSITION.
