Abstract A BASIC SELECTIVE ACCESS SYSTEM AS HERETOFORE PROPOSED IS ADAPTED TO ACHIEVE REPEATED SELECTED EXECUTION (LOOPING THROUGH) OF IN-LINE INSTRUCTION SETS. SUCH OPERATION REQUIRES THAT MULTIPLE REGISTERS BE LOADED WITH SELECTION INFORMATION THAT INCLUDES A JUMP-MODE REPRESENTATION. THIS DISCLOSURE IS DIRECTED TO A MODIFICATION OF SUCH A BASIC SYSTEM. THE MODIFIED SYSTEM IS CHARACTERIZED BY A PROGRAM-INSTRUCTION-LOCATION-COUNTER-SAVE CAPABILITY THAT LOOPING TO BE REDUCED, SIMPLIFIED AND MODULARIZED.
