Abstract
Abstract A plate has a circular opening and diametrically opposed pins extending into the opening. A diaphragm is secured to one face of the plate and covers the opening. Secured to the diaphragm in the center of the opening is a disclike element with portions which nest on and slidably engage the pins. A tongue extending from the disc is actuated to rock the disc, and thereby effect rotational movement of a member secured to the other surface of the diaphragm. Such element may be a pin, or it may be a similar disc which is similarly positioned on pins in an opening of another plate abutting the other surface of the diaphragm.

Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim
99 words
In combination: a plate having an opening therein; an element positioned in said opening, said opening being larger than said element; a diaphragm secured to one surface of said plate and spanning said opening, said element being secured to said diaphragm; interconnecting means on said element and said plate supporting said element for rotational movement along a line in the plane of said diaphragm; a member secured to said diaphragm opposite to and movable with said element; and an arm attached to said element for effecting rotational movement thereof, said movement being transferred through said diaphragm to said member.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
26 words
The combination of claim 1, wherein said interconnecting means includes diametrically opposed pins of said plate in said opening and pin mating portions on said element.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
27 words
The combination of claim 2, wherein said pins have flat surfaces coplanar with said one surface of the plate, said pins in cross section being substantially semicylindrical.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
38 words
The combination of claim 3, including a second plate, said plates and diaphragm being secured together with the diaphragm between the plates, said second plate having an opening, said plates openings being of the same dimensions and aligned.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
47 words
The combination of claim 4, wherein said member is identical to said element, wherein said second plate has pins in the opening thereof, the pins of both plates being identical and in alignment, and wherein said member has pin mating portions identical to those of said element.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
31 words
The combination of claim 4, including: a switch having a plunger; and a pin on said member engaging said plunger, said pin actuating said plunger upon rotational movement of said element.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
36 words
The combination of claim 6, wherein said element is disclike, and said arm extends from the periphery of said element along a line substantially at right angles to the axis of rotational movement of said element.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
28 words
The combination of claim 5, including: a switch having a plunger; and an arm on said member adapted to actuate said plunger upon rotational movement of said element.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
26 words
The combination of claim 2, including bearing means between said pins and pin mating portions and rollable by said pin mating portions during rotational movement thereof.
