Abstract WATER IS SEPARATED FROM HIGH BOILING POINT OILS (OR OTHER IMMISCIBLE LIQUIDS) WITH SIMULTANEOUS FRACTIONATION OF THE OIL BY SUPPLYING THE MIXTURE OF WATER AND OIL TO A FRACTIONATOR AT PREDETERMINED RATIOS, AND USING THE STEAM GENERATED FROM THIS WATER AS PART OF THE STEAM FOR FLASHING.
