Abstract A METHOD OF IMPROVING THE INITIAL STRENGTH OF HARDENED CEMENT IS PROVIDED, WHICH COMPRISES BLENDING BLAST FURNACE SLAG OR FLY ASH WITH GYPSUM, ADDING WATER, GRINDING THE MIXTURE, AND ADDING THE RESULTANT MIXTURE TO A CEMENT MIX. THE IMPROVED CEMENT COMPOSITION IS LIKEWISE PROVIDED.
