Abstract A LENS SYSTEM WHICH MAGNIFIES AN INCIDENT IMAGE FIVE TIMES AND CAUSES THE LIGHT LEAVING THE LENS SYSTEM TO BE SUBSTANTIALLY PARALLEL SO AS TO PERMIT PERPENDICULAR IMPINGEMENT UPON A DEVICE SUCH AS A PLANE MATRIX SITUATED AT THE LOCAL PLANE OF THE LENS SYSTEM.
