Abstract MONOVARIANT EUTECTIC COMPOSITION OF MATTER ARE UNIDIRECTIONALLY SOLIDIFIED TO PROVIDE AN ANISOTROPIC STRUCTURE WHEREIN ONE PHASE OF A WHISKER OR LAMELLAR MORPHOLOGY IN SUBSTANTIAL ALIGNMENT IS EMBEDDED IN A MATRIX PHASE.
