Abstract AN EXHAUST NOZZLE FOR A GAS TURBINE ENGINE WHEREIN THE FLOW AREA OF THE NOZZLE IS VARIED BY FLAPS PIVOTALLY CONNECTED TO AQ JET PIPE AND PIVOTED BY MOVEMENT OF A SHROUD ENCLOSING THE FLAPS. THE SHROUD ACTS ON THE PETALS THROUGH LINKS AND ADDITIONALLY THROUGH A CAM WHICH COMES INTO OPERATION WHEN THE LINK CONNECTION IS IN A NEAR A DEAD CENTRE POSITION.
