Abstract
Abstract Stereophonic disc records are made by recording as vertical record groove modulation a stereophonic difference signal from which low frequency components have been extracted, and as lateral groove modulation a stereophonic sum signal to which the low frequency components extracted from the difference signal have been added, the latter components being maintained in substantially quadrature relation to the corresponding frequency components of the sum signal so as to avoid cancellation.
