Abstract
Abstract This disclosure relates to a vacuum temperature control system wherein a pair of vacuum signals respectively from a temperature sensor and a temperature selecting means are translated by a comparator into a vacuum control signal that operates a temperature output means for the system in relation to the vacuum control signal to produce a proportional action thereof, the system, however, having vacuum signal means for resetting the comparator to slowly eliminate the proportional action caused by the comparator. The comparator comprises a valve means having a 1-piece diaphragm means provided with three spaced and stacked diaphragm portions.

A valve means comprising a diaphragm means, and a plurality of housing members secured together and holding said diaphragm means thereto, said diaphragm means cooperating with said housing members to define a plurality of chambers in stacked relation, one of said housing members being cup shaped and receiving said other housing members and said diaphragm means in the open end thereof, one of said chambers having a valve seat means therein to be opened and closed by said diaphragm means, said other housing members being disposed in stacked relation in said open end of said one housing member whereby said one housing member and one of said other housing members define two outboard housing members, said one housing member of said other housing members being snap fitted to said cup-shaped housing member to secure said housing members and said diaphragm means together said one housing member of said other housing members closing said open end of said cup-shaped housing member and cooperating with said diaphragm means to define one of said chambers therebetween.
