Abstract COPOLYMERS OF BUTENE-1 AND C10-C18 ALPHA OLEFINS HAVE LOW BRITTLE TEMPERATURES. YIELD OF POLYMER IS INCREASED BY FIRST REACTING ZIEGLER-NATTA CATALYST WITH THE C10-C18 ALPHA OLEFIN AT 10-40* C. FOR 4-20 HOURS, AND THEN INTRODUCING THE CATALYST AND PREPOLYMER, THUS OBTAINED, INTO THE MAIN BUTENE-1, POLYMERIZATION.
