Abstract A STRONGLY CURVED LAMINATED POLARIZING LENS SUBSTANTIALLY FREE OF HAZE AND COSMETIC DEFECTS DUE TO THE CURVE FORMING OPERATION IS DISCLOSED. LAMINAE ON THE CONVEX SIDE OF THE POLARIZING LAYER ARE SUBSTANTIALLY THICKER THAN ON THE CONCAVE SIDE, THEREBY REDUCING THE STRESS ON THE POLARIZING LAYER. THE CURVED SHAPE IS IMPARTED AFTER LAMINATION.
