Abstract A SODA-SILICATE GLASS CONTAINING ABOUT 6 TO 9 MOLE PERCENT OF AN ADMIXTURE OF ZARO2 AND TIO2. THE GLASS HAS EXCEPTIONALLY LOW ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE AND IS SENSITIVE TO ALKALI METAL IONS, SUCH AS POTASSIUM AND SODIUM IONS. THE GLASS IS PARTICULARYL SUITED FOR FORMATION INTO ION SENSITIVE BULBS OF GLASS ELECTRODES UTILIZED FOR MEASURING ALKALI METAL ION CONCENTRATIONS OF SOLUTIONS.
