Abstract
Abstract A HEATED FILTER ASSEMBLY IS PROVIDED FOR USE IN REMOVING THERMOPLASTIC PARTICLES FROM A VAPOR STREAM. THE ASSEMBLY INCLUDES A REPLACEABLE POROUS FILTER UNIT THROUGH WHICH THE VAPOR STREAM IS CAUSED TO PASS. THE UNIT IS HEATED TO A PREETERMINED TEMPERATURE WHEREBY THE THERMOPLASTIC PARTICLES ENTRAINED IN THE VAPOR STREAM ARE RETAINED BY THE UNIT AND BECOME SOFT OR MELT AND FORM A STICKY AGGLOMERATE.
