Abstract USING A SALT OF A VINYLIMIDAZOLINE OR A VINYLTETRAHYDROPYRIMIDINE POLYMER THERE IS PROVIDED AN IMPROVED SUSPENSION POLYMERIZATION PROCESS. THE PROCESS PERMITS THE POLYMERIZATION OF WATER-SOLUBLE MONOMERS, PREFERABLY, IN THE PRESENCE OF AQUEOUS SALT SOLUTIONS WHICH HERETOFORE HAVE PRESENTED GREAT DIFFICULTIES BECAUSE OF THE LIMITED SOLUBILITY OR DISPERSIBILITY OF COMMON DISPERSANTS IN SUCH SALT SOLUTION.
