Abstract APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING THE OPERATION OF A CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR BY DERIVING A SIGNAL FROM THE HIGH SIDE OF THE SYSTEM AND USING SUCH SIGNAL TO RESET THE CONTROL POINT WHICH LIMITS CLOSING OF THE PRV AND INITIATES BYPASSING DISCHARGE GAS. AT LOWER CAPACITY, THE SYSTEM OPERATES CLOSE TO THE SURGE LINE ASSURING MAXIMUM ECONOMY.
