Abstract STACKS OF NEWSPAPERS ARE CARRIED ON CONVEYOR MEANS TO A WRAPPING STATION FOR CONVERING THE STACKS WITH PLASTIC FOIL, THEN TO A DEPOSITING STATION WHERE A WEIGHT HAVING OPENINGS THEREIN IS PLACED ON THE UPPER SIDE OF EACH STACK, FURTHER TO A HEATING STATION, THEREAFTER TO A COOLING STATION IF DESIRED, AND FINALLY TO A PICK-UP STATION WHERE WEIGHTS ARE REMOVED FROM THE STACKS FOR RETURN TO THE DEPOSITING STATION.
