Abstract
Abstract High quality thermomagnetic recording can be achieved by imaging a document onto a magnetic recording member with a flash of light. The magnetic recording member is composed of fine particles of hard magnetic material and is exposed under magnetic conditions such that a change of magnetic state occurs upon heating. Preferably the recording member is premagnetized and imagewise demagnetized. The member can be thermally biased by a second flash of light.
