Abstract A single-ended quartz-halogen lamp which includes a vitreous glass envelope containing a halogen for regeneratively gettering tungsten particles which evolve from the filament and a reflector disposed behind the filament and inside of the lamp.

The lamp according to claim 1 wherein the lower ends of the support rods are bent inwardly towards the axis of the lamp and thence bent again at a location above the press-seal area in a direction substantially parallel to the axis of said lamp.
