Abstract THIS SPECIFICATION DISCLOSES NOVEL PIGMENT COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING SOLID SOLUTIONS OF TWO OR MORE 3,4,9,10-PERYLENTETRACARBOXYLIC DIMIDES. THE SOLID SOLUTIONS EXTEND THE RANGE OF COLORS AND SHADES OF PERYLENE PIGMENTS AVIALABLE AND THE MASSTONE OF COATINGS PREPARED FROM THESE PIGMENTS IS DEEPER AND MORE TRANSPARENT THAN THAT OF KNOWN PIGMENTS.
