Abstract POLYAMIDE COMPOSITIONS HAVING DURABLE ANTISTATIC EFFECT, HYGROSCOPICITY, SOIL RESISTANCE AND DYEABILITY ARE OBTAINED BY ADDING A SUBSTANTIALLY LINEAR AND WATER- OR ALCOHOL-SOLUBLE VINYL POLYMER HAVING 0.2 TO 2.0 SULPHONIC ACID GROUPS PER REPEATING UNIT, 10 TO 95% OF THE SAID SULPHONIC ACID GROUPS BEING PRESENT IN THE FORM OF A SALT OF LITHIUM, POTASSIUM, SODIUM OR CALCIUM AND 5 TO 90% OF THE SAID SULPHONIC ACID GROUPS BEING PRESENT IN THE FORM OF AN AMMONIUM SALT OR ORGANIC AMINE SALT.
