FOR EXAMPLE, THE REACTION OF 2,6-DI-TERT-BUTYLPHENOL WITH FORMALDEHYDE AND DODECYL MERCAPTAN YIELDS 2,6-DI-TERT-BUTYL-A-(DODECYLTHIO)-P-CRESOL. THE PRODUCTS ARE USEFUL AS ANTIOXIDANTS.
