Abstract A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A VAPOR PERMEABLE, MICROPOROUS, LEATHERLIKE SHEET MATERIAL BY DISSOLVING A POLYURETHANE IN A FIRST LIQUID (SOLVENT) TO WHICH IS ADDED A SECOND LIQUID (NON-SOLVENT) IN WHICH THE POLYURETHANE IS INSOLUBLE BUT WHICH IS MISCIBLE WITH SOLVENT, SHAPING THE SOLUTION ON A SUITABLE SUBSTRATE AND REMOVING BOTH THE SOLVENT AND THE NON-SOLVENT.
