Abstract
Abstract A holder for cake or bar soap including a magnet embedded within the holder for magnetic attachment to an armature in the form of a metal disc secured to and preferably embedded in and flush with a wall or other support, and a second magnet embedded within the holder for independently supporting a bar of soap also having an armature embedded therein. The combination holder and bar soap is adapted for singlehanded operation in attaching the holder to a support and in detaching the soap from the holder without disturbing the attachment of the holder.

A wall mounted fixture comprising a main body having an integrally molded flat base and outwardly extending arm; a metal plate; headed screw fasteners securing said plate to a wall; a first magnet permanently secured within said base magnetically holding the fixture against said plate; a second magnet carried by said arm in spaced relation to said base; a metallic member removably secured to an article to be suspended from the holder by magnetic attachment of said member to said second magnet; and said first magnet having recesses therein matching the disposition of the heads of said screw fasteners to thereby render said first magnet and plate self-centering in the magnetic attraction of the first magnet to the plate.
