Abstract
Abstract A pipe connection comprising two end-pieces the cooperating male and female surfaces of which include a central frusto-conical surface and two terminal radial surfaces. A deformable frusto-conical packing fitted and compressed between the two frusto-conical surfaces is bounded by inner and outer surfaces having an inflexion point in their middle so that the successive inwardly and outwardly convex sections engage the cooperating frusto-conical surfaces and the packing edges are extruded between the suitably shaped corresponding ends of the two frusto-conical surfaces.
